Born and raised in Rigby, Idaho, Veda Barrie began going to college at age 23, first getting a bachelor's and then a master's in education. As she began her teaching career she decided to sell real estate on the side. She soon realized she could earn more money selling than teaching, and when her broker announced she was retiring in 1985 Veda Barrie bought the company. Let me sell your castle. Veda is a Graduate of Realtors Institute - a designation she received in 1986, then moved onto become a Certified Real Estate Specialist - CRS in 1988, and her Certified Residential Real Estate Broker Designation - CRB in 1991. Veda has been a member of the Million Dollar Club seven times and was president of the CRB Utah Chapter in 1992. She has her own property management company. Veda is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and was President in 1993-1994. Along with all of her community involvement, Veda has been on the Legislative Commission Committee since 1997. Not only does Veda enjoy selling Real Estate she is a very avid golfer, world traveler, and is very family oriented. Veda is the Sectional Director of the Rocky Mountain Region for Executive Women's Golf and was the President of the Salt Lake Chapter in 1998. Veda is married to Robert N. Weatherbee who is a lawyer. They share a passion for foreign travel. Together they have trekked, climbed, backpacked & ridden trains through North & South America, most of Europe, not once but many times in addition to the Middle East and Asian countries.
